Our August Herb Retreat is 4-day summer camp of Herbalism, Aromatherapy, Plant Walks, Herbal Medicine-Making, Plant Pounding, Essential Oil Blending, Botanical Astrology, Yoga, Breath Work and Music! at the historic Bark Eater Inn in the heart of the Adirondack Mountains of Upstate New York.

Hands on Herbalism
From time to sit with and connect with plants to getting in the kitchen and making herbal medicine together, we will be immersed in the plants and practical plant medicines.
AC will cover tinctures, teas, salves, oxymels and infused vinegars such as Fire Cider, the famous spicy immune tonic, and herbal first aid over the course of the Retreat.
We will have plant walks and garden tours to get to know the potent medicinal and edible plants of the region.
Meghan's garden at the Bark Eater Inn is a delightful sanctuary on a breathtaking property. You can enjoy the shade of the cedar gazebo and watch the butterflies on the flowers, herbs and fruits surrounding you.

Botanical Astrology
In this 3-part workshop, Gabriel introduces the basics of reading an Astrological Birth Chart to reveal the core dynamics of the archetypal psychologies of the Chart’s key components: the Elements, Modes, Planets and Zodiac Signs.
The Herb Retreat is offers the opportunity for a personal deep-dive into your own Astrological Birth Chart — and how it relates to your health as well as the aromatic plants and oils that can best support you in reaching your goals and responding to life's uncertainties.

The Bark Eater Inn & Retreat Center sits on 200 acres of mountain bliss just minutes away from Keene Valley, NY.
Enjoy open fields with sweeping views of the surrounding mountains including Hurricane, Giant and Cascade – as well as native forests, flourishing gardens, flowering meadows, cascading waterways and miles of hiking trails. These all come together to make for a perfect place to relax, unwind and reconnect.
The property features an historic house and two cabins. You have the option of camping on the beautiful grounds, or as an individual or couple, booking one of the comfy rooms in the Bark Eater Inn. The Sentinel Cabin is available for groups of 3 or 4.
