Actaea Integrated Diploma Course
Our Integrated Diploma Course in Herbal Medicine and Clinical Aromatherapy is a ‘hybrid’ program combining an in-person Part One 9-day 'Summer School' at the Bark Eater Inn retreat center with an on-line Part Two 9-month 'Sunday School' of 35 live & recorded 3-hour webinars with AC & Gabriel.
If you can't attend the Summer School, you can start the Diploma program by joining the webinar series, starting Sept 7th 2025.

Our Summer School Experience is an exciting, restorative 9-day learning retreat at the gorgeous Bark Eater Inn, nestled in the Adirondack Mountains of New York State. This live intensive covers the essentials of Herbalism & Aromatherapy, with a focus on topics that are best covered in person... identifying, cultivating and preparing herbs together with hands-on techniques such as Herbal First Aid.
Mentorship
Enrollment comes with one-to-one mentorship to help guide you in achieving your vision and goals as an Herbalist and/or Aromatherapist.

Expert guidance
Our Diploma Course is unique in combining in one live course the skills and knowledge required for forging or further developing Clinical Herbalism and Aromatherapy as a professional practice, product-making or retail business. AC and Gabriel are passionate about sharing their knowledge and expertise and, between them, have over 50 years of experience working with and teaching Herbalism and Aromatherapy.

Stunning location
Students have the option of camping on the beautiful grounds of the Bark Eater’s extensive Adirondack estate, or booking one of the comfy rooms in the Inn or Sentinel cabin. If you prefer to camp, you can do so on the basis of selecting this option when you book your place.
